The GBS 2010-11 yearbook “Choices” was recently named a Crown finalist by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

Of the more than 60 yearbooks selected nationally, the Etruscan is the only yearbook in Illinois to be named a finalist. With this recognition, the Etruscan is poised to earn either a Gold or Silver Crown at the national level. 

The final awards will be presented at the annual convention at Columbia University in March. Last year, the Etruscan won its first Gold Crown and also won a Pacemaker. It was one of only nine books in the country to earn both honors.
