Gerald W. Bruce was husband of Janice nee Shugg; father of Michael (Rinda) Bruce and Pamela Bruce Cronin; grandfather of Scott and Hunter Bruce and Michael and Courtney Cronin; great-grandfather of Stone, Braxton, Cameron, Camille and Grant; and brother of Harry "Bud" Bruce.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Donnellan Family Funeral Home 10045 Skokie Blvd., Skokie. Funeral service is 11 a..m. Feb. 26 at Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St. Interment Private.
