Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge has received two prestigious honors by Truhaven Health Analytics.

The hospital is among 100 in the nation to receive the Everest Award honoring hospitals with the highest performance and the fastest long-term improvement over five years. The facility was also named to the top 100 major teaching hospitals in 2013.

“Our annual study is unique in that it evaluates hospitals on measures of overall organization performance, including patient care, operational efficiency, and financial stability. It compares hospitals only against similar facilities in terms of size and teaching status," read a statement on Truhaven Health Analytics website.

Advocate Lutheran General was chosen for these awards out of 3,000 hospitals surveyed.

“This honor is a reflection of the hard work and expertise from our physicians and associates who commit to providing the best possible care to the patients we serve," read a statement from Jim Skogsbergh, president and CEO, Advocate Health Care. “We’re honored to be included among this prestigious group of healthcare providers.”

This is a great honor. There are several awards out there but to be able to boast about being top 100 in 5 year long term recovery says something about the aftercare and the well being of the patients. You can't teach that. That is something that is culturally based - Andrew - JRSmedical
