The 2012 Glenview Civic Award recipients were recently announced and will be honored at a dinner on April 12 at North Shore Country Club, 1340 Glenview Rd., Journal Online reported.
Among the winners were Steve Bucklin (Citizen of the Year) for his volunteer service, including serving on the village board, commissions and civic groups; Susan Steel Ishida (Special Committee Award) for establishing a tissue bank for melanoma survivors in Glenview; and two police officers and five public safety dispatchers who prevented a suicide attempt (Public Safety Award), Journal Online reported.
