Glenview Official Charged with DUI
Joseph Kenney, the village's director of capital projects and inspection services, was arrested Dec. 12.
Glenview's director of capital projects and inspection services was charged with DUI and improper lane usage after being pulled over early in the morning on Dec. 12 by Glenview Police, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Joseph Kenney, 36, of Deerfield, was released on bond and is still employed by the village, the article says. Glenview Village Manager Todd Hileman told the Tribune that an independent counsel is being brought in, per village procedure, to work with the human resources department on an independent investigation.

Investigate what? Intoxicated and driving....yes! Get a lawyer and waste some taxpayer $. The lawyer will try to blame the police or a "troubled childhood". Or ..."stress at work". Drunk drivers kill alot of people each year....

My question is who was he drinking with? Was he with any other officials and that is the reason for the independant council. Just my thought.

I agree Upton. There was a Village Board Meeting that night. They all go out drinking together after the meetings. How could Staff and Board Members let him drive home drunk? How many others drove home drunk that night, and how many times have they gotten away with it. The Village of Glenview should be ashamed.

Allowing this guy to keep his job is clearly sending a message that The Village of Glenview is not taking this seriously at! This yet another example of the village "protecting their own". Apparently the PD and Manager's office is as corrupt as the community development department. So in Glenview, a DUI must not constitute a violation of Health Safety and Welfare of the public? At least not in this town.

What happened to the good old days when we used go to the Glenview House and have a few beers at lunch?

If the Police were corrupt he would have never been arrested in the first place. Get real!
