For all of you who think you know the whole story, you have no clue. Were they wrong for having that many dogs in their home, YES. However, The mom runs a dog rescue and her partner in the rescue was slacking off big time and put Jen in a horrible situation. She does love the dogs, but she loves her kids more. I have known her my entire life. Jen was desperately trying to get these dogs adopted or into foster homes. She never intended or wanted that many dogs in her home. I'm not defending that the number of dogs was outrageous, however, I knew what she was going through and tried to help her find homes for the dogs too. As far as working, yes, the dad, Scott, works, and Jen is a retired firefighter who has a bad knee injury. I bet if you knew she saved lives and yes they were human lives, you might have a different opinion. Once she could no longer be a firefighter, I believe that the dogs somehow filled a void of saving lives. I have been around her kids many times, and they are all VERY HAPPY and clean. They LOVE the dogs. If I didn't know the family personally, I may have a completely different opinion, however, that is not the case. Try to be a little more understanding before you jump to conclusions.
