Glenview Restaurant Owner Kills Waitress, Then Himself, Police Say

According to officials, the shooting was a murder-suicide.

Police found two bodies in a Prospect Heights apartment complex Monday afternoon, the Huffington Post reports. The man and woman found dead—a waitress and her boss—worked together at Tatami Japanese Restaurant, 1859 Waukgean Road, according to police.

Police say Suk Oh, 46, entered the condo of Dong (Donna) H. Yu, 42, a waitress employed at Oh's restaurant, and fatally shot her, before turning the gun on himself.

I agree with everyone else, "Glenn" is being being a total A@@h@le and show a total lack of Christian -judeo values. You should never makes jokes of a tragedy like this any tragedy for that matter. If you like this past posts, you will see how immature "Glenn" really is and they seem like they are things you would hear in a frat house. "Glenn" shouldn't be allowed to be an advocate for any group, especially our senior citizens.

Comments from a Morton Grove resident. I am deeply insulted and expect an apology to all readers here from Posner and from Glenview Patch for allowing such a racist comment to be printed here. In case he is oblivious to the fact, about 30% of Morton Grove residents are from Asia. Hopefully more readers will share their feelings about such an insensitive remark. Thank you for those who have.

M. Kim Junior....My second wife, whom I loved deeply, was Korean. She passed away from cancer. You know what you can do with your asinine racist suggestion.? Comments on these or ANY boards can be flagged as inappropriate and removed. This posting was over 6 months old, Junior. It was never removed...which speaks for itself. My wife, who was exceedingly proud of her heritage, would have laughed at it.
Since you are voting "no" on the referendum on March 20, it seems odd that you need to search the internet for any of my past comments, anywhere, to take issue with that have nothing to do with the upcoming vote. If you apologize for your "no" vote, "junior" I'll apologize for my horrible spelling on my post from 6 months ago.

Mr. Posner
I too have lost a loved one to cancer, so you have my sincere sympathy on your loss.
Having said that, it does not excuse your insensitivity bordering on racism and ageism in many of your remarks makes it very difficult to take what you say seriously on other subjects.
At the very least, you should consider an apology to the Asian community no matter how long ago it was made. Unlike fine wine, slurs of that type do not improve with age. You need to cowboy up and own the fact that you made a serious mistake. Perhaps some sensitivity training would help.
Based upon your loss I can better understand the anger you display. I will pray for you.

Hi Joanna. You and Pam have a Herculean task and I have nothing but respect for your positions and responsibilities. We residents are lucky to have you both. Posting comments can be fun, cathartic and rewarding. I have never cursed online, in ANY format. It's hard, occasionally, to gauge what is funny, from one person to the next. All inappropriate comments should be flagged as you say...It's just difficult to ALL agree on what's inappropriate. I do a quiet blog on senior issues..medicare, medicaid..social security..medications..insurance etc etc. I was invited to blog on the upcoming March 20th vote on our schools and did (Feel free to read it). The fallout and personal attacks that followed were not appreciated.
Don't ask. My second wife was Asian and passed away from cancer, yet I have an aggressive soul named Kim calling me a racist in a wild, venomous posting, for a comment my own Asian wife would have laughed at, hysterically, I guarantee it. Kim is voting "no" in the referendum and we had spirited discourse on the subject...hence his libelous vendetta. I will not stand to be called a racist in print or in person. The man does not know me and has never met me. I refuse to tolerate personal attacks as I attempt to contribute to the community with a current, informative blog. Humor and sarcasm are wonderful tools when used properly and efficiently, as you get your points across. If his racist accusations continue, I will speak to my attorney
regarding libel.

Oh you reply to grandpa, I like his analogy to fine wine. He sounds like a fine gentleman. I Would like to hear more of what his thoughts are..He reminds me of an old gentleman I know from Texas, Who has humbled me on more than one occasion.
I think I might send him a link to this thread......I think We Should all pay more attention to our elders and betters

I appreciate that readers are expressing their opinions but we need to be respectful in the comments section. I am hesitant to shut down comments completely or delete comments from the thread because I don't want to censor readers unnecessarily. If you left a comment here that was offensive or used curse words in any format, I encourage you to delete it and offer an apology. If this can't be resolved through self-monitoring, offensive posts will be deleted and comments will no longer be accepted for this article. Thanks for your cooperation.

It's obvious that Mr. Posher is just being a Bully. He is not much of a man, since he is already calling foul and crying for his lawyer and we all know that Lawyer's are just hired cried babies. Also, no one has ever brought the upcoming vote on March 20th in all the comments I have read, what is that all about? And why does Mr. Posner feel the need to drag that into the comment section, when the original story is about a tragic murder/suicide?
