Glenview Teen Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison
Francisco Moran pleaded guilty to first-degree murder charges after running down and killing a Des Plaines boy with his car.
Francisco Moran, 18, will spend the next two decades in prison, a Cook County judge ruled earlier this week.
Moran pleaded guilty to first-degree murder charges dating back to the November 2009 death of 16-year-old Maine East student Edgardo De La Torre, the Daily Herald reported.

Authorities say Moran deliberately struck De La Torre with his car in the parking lot of Golf Mills shopping center, causing multiple head injuries resulting in De La Torre’s death, the story explained.
Moran also pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder and was sentenced to an additional six-year sentence to run consecutively with the first, according to the Daily Herald.

He killed a 16 year old and ruined his own life in the process. How stupid of him. He deserves prison.

I agree J.C. 20 years is nothing for taking a life. He deserves life. I don't care what his age is, he was and is old enough to know what MURDER is. He knew exactly what he was doing.
