Thousands of Glenview residents lined the Village's streets Sunday morning for the 46th annual Fourth of July parade. The route began at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, made its way west on Glenview Road, turned south on Harlem Avenue and ended at Johns Park after making a short trip down Central Avenue.

School groups, community organizations, local businesses, politicians, and even a group of Jimmy Buffet fans had a float in this year's parade. Sponsored by Glenview State Bank, this year's "Star Spangled Future" theme was created in honor of Glenbrook South's 50th anniversary.

One Glenview resident Cheryl Yenter summed it up best.

"I like that it start with the family bike parade, it's fun," she said. "I like that it's so family friendly."
