New Fitness Center Coming To Glenview?

The Glenview Plan Commission approved the construction of a new fitness center on a vacant lot on Waukegan Rd.

A 8,975-square-foot vacant lot at 1841 Waukegan Rd. could be occupied by a new fitness center soon, after the Glenview Plan Commission approved local resident, Mike Ipjian's, proposal to build a facility on the lot, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Ipjian, a basketball trainer from Glenview, says he might call the facility Elite Center, and use it for yoga classes in the morning and youth basketball training in the afternoons, according to the Chicago Tribune.

It's about time they did something with that vacant parcel of land... That use to be an EZ-GO gas station back in the 80's that was well known for its watered-down gasoline... Great idea to do something there (after the contaminated property has been corrected).

Watered-down gasoline?! The 80s are a bit before my time, but I'd love to hear more about that place.
