Congrats, grads!

Glenbrook South's senior class—along with hundreds of family and friends—packed the Rosemont Theater Sunday afternoon for the class of 2011's graduation ceremony.

Roughly 600 seniors made the walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. Superintendent Michael Riggle congratulated the graduating class on their success.

"Today we are honoring a truly remarkable group of young people," he said.

Principal Brian Wegley and Student Council President Dilan Wickrema also spoke. A Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented to Howard Conant, a member of the class of '69.

There in spirit, 0ut-of-town relatives and friends were able to watch the ceremony live on the school’s website.
