Suspicious Incident Alert: Man Approaches Woman, Exposes Himself in Gallery Park

Police are asking community members for any information or leads regarding a suspicious incident that occured around 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to officials, an adult female was walking her dog in Gallery Park, when she noticed a while male--approximately 25 to 35 years old--walking towards her. Police describe the suspect as a man around 5'9", 140 pounds, with black hair and a wearing a short black jacket.
The woman reported walking in another direction and when she turned around to see if the man was still following her, realized he had unzipped his pants and was exposing himself.
The male did not say anything, according to police, and was last seen leaving the park on foot in an unknown direction.
Anyone with possible information regarding this incident is asked to call the Glenview Police Department at 847.729.5000.

Ok, first of all. Suspicious? What is suspicious about a man exposing himself? Once the exposure happened, all suspicion of intent disappeared. Right? Second. If the man was actually seen leaving the park, then he went in a known direction. Someone saw which way he went. You could say "unreported" or "undisclosed", but certainly not "unknown". Just sayin'.

Thanks for your comment, LC. It's possible that the woman who reported this incident to police was so frazzled afterwards that she couldn't remember exactly what direction the man left the park. Or perhaps police have conflicting reports.
