Three Vehicles Burglarized Monday Night

Glenview residents reported three overnight burglaries on the same day. Also featured: police arrest a Chicago man accused of burglarizing a vehicle and a residence.

The Glenview Police Department provided the following reports. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt.

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, three Glenview residents reported burglaries to their vehicles, police say. Victims said someone entered their vehicle Monday night and stole property or money, according to police.

The first vehicle burglary was reported about 7:41 a.m., on the 500 block of Briar Hill Ln., police said. A resident there said someone stole $436 worth of unnamed property, according to police.

At about 10:06 a.m. that day, a resident on the 1700 block of Robincrest Ln. reported a GPS unit worth about $150 was removed from their car, according to police.

Nearby, a resident on the 1800 block of Robincrest Ln., reported a laptop was stolen from their car, police said.

Police so far have not reported any arrests in connection with the burglaries.

Police Charge Chicago Man with Glenview Burglaries

On Oct. 16, Joseph Greschner, 46, of Chicago, was arrested and charged with burglarizing a vehicle and a residence, police said. He was arrested about 5:26 p.m. after an investigation in the 500 bock of Waukegan Rd., according to police.

Police reports do not indicate whether he was connected to the burglaries reported earlier that day. Greschner is scheduled for an Oct. 23 bond hearing, police say.
