Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Newest Bullying Prevention Resource is a Hit!

In first grade Katie Goldman was teased about her Star Wars water bottle. She was told that “Star Wars was only for boys.” Her mother’s blog post about Katie’s experience, “Anti-Bullying Starts in First Grade” went viral and an online community of support generated international attention.

This began Carrie Goldman’s journey of writing Bullied: What Every Parent, Teacher, and Kid Needs to Know About Ending the Cycle of Fear. (HarperOne (August 14, 2012)

Bullied is a captivating blend of stories, current research and practical guidance. Carrie Goldman’s odyssey as a blogger mom at the epicenter makes her a powerful voice for positive change. Her insights make this a comprehensive and indispensable bullying prevention resource.

I am excited and complimented that my “Easing the Teasing” strategies are heavily referenced in one of the chapters of this must-read book!
