DESCRIPTION:This monthly class explores the personal essay for advanced s
 tudents. We meet once a month and discuss a classic and/or contemporary 
 published essay. The rest of our class time is spent providing feedback 
 for one another&rsquo\;s manuscripts. This course is limited to 10 stude
 nts. Participants should expect to contribute at least one essay of 3 to
  10 pages and have previous experience writing personal essays or lifest
 ories.\nThis course is designed for those with experience exposing their
  work in a writing workshop environment. Prospective students should con
 tact the Studio for direction on submitting a work in progress. StoryStu
 dio will then determine if the Advanced Essay Workshop or another course
  would be the best fit.
