Dickey's Barbecue Now Open in Glenview

New restaurant Dickey's Barbecue Pit just opened this Saturday at 1448 Waukegan Rd. in Glenview, and Texas-style barbecue is its specialty. The Glenview Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. this Thursday, Oct. 31.
Menu items include barbecue sandwiches, meat plates, salads and traditional sides such as barbecue beans, coleslaw and potato salad. The restaurant offers a different special every day, and kids eat free on Sundays.
The new restaurant is a franchise of a Texas-based chain with locations throughout the United States. There are only two other locations in Illinois, one in Moline and one in Wheaton.
