Wagner Farm Cows Seek Shelter from Storm

Why does Wagner Farm and the Glenview Park District deny their cattle a simple, run-in shelter?

If you visit Wagner Farm today, it is not difficult to see the soaking wet cows trying to get into the Wagner Farm barn. They are trying to escape being pelted by rain but are instead left outside once again in stormy conditions. They have NO access to shelter because they have NO access to the barn unless they are manually put into it by staff. These animals are at their mercy.

Wagner Farm has denied requests made by Wagner Farm Rescue Fund to have a simple run-in shelter built for them.

According to the WGN Weather Center, strong to severe storms will continue to pound the area for the rest of Wednesday and into Thursday.

Please let your voice for these animals be heard since they cannot help themselves.  Ask the Glenview Park District and Wagner Farm to properly protect the animals in their care.

NOTE:  As seen in the photo, one of the young Wagner Farm cows, Daisy, is seemingly disturbed by the cattle access door to the barn being shut while she is forced to stand in the rain with no shelter access.
