Momentum Builds for Char Foss-Eggemann for GOP Committeeman
Key Endorsement Rolls In By Illinois House Republican Leader Durkin
PARK RIDGE – Illinois House of Representatives Republican Leader Jim Durkin has endorsed Char Foss-Eggemann in her race to become the Republican Committeeman of Maine Township.
“This November we have a great candidate, Mel Thillens, who is running for State Representative in House District 55. It is imperative that we have strong Republican leadership at the grassroots level to ensure Mel’s victory,” said Durkin. “Char is the new face of the suburban Republican Party — energized and engaged. When people like Char get involved it helps us open a big tent to grow our party and help candidates like Mel get across the finish line.”
Durkin stated that the Republican party needs to elect Republican State Representatives to help pass meaningful conservative government reform in Springfield, and grassroots organizing led by leaders like Char Foss–Eggemann is critical to help make that a reality.
“Our campaign has been energized by the support of Leader Durkin. Republican leaders in the state want the most effective local Republican organization possible in order to help get more Republicans into the General Assembly, and I am the person for the job,” said Char. “My volunteers and I are already working to assist viable Republican candidates for the state legislature, like Mel Thillens, while organizing for the Republican Party in Maine Township.”
The Republican primary election is March 18, 2014. The polls are open from 6 AM to 7 PM.
“Maine Township voters should also be aware that they may vote early in person at the Des Plaines City Hall and at the Park Ridge Village Hall. Early voting begins today,” said Char.
