"Food Safety Fact and Fiction"

Are you confused and scared by headlines related to food safety?  In the first of a three-part series on agriculture issues being sponsored by area chapters of the League of Women Voters, the Glenview League is holding a discussion entitled "Food Safety Fact and Fiction" on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 1:30-4:00 at the Glenview Public Library.

The discussion will be led by Sheri Latash, the League of Women Voters of Illinois specialist on sustainable food and water.  Research documents prepared in conjunction with an update to the League of Women Voters of the U.S. position on agriculture issues, will be the basis for discussion.  Those documents can be accessed at http://forum.lwv.org/category/member-resources/our-work/agriculture-update
