GMPS Celebrates Dads and Grandads!

Glenview Methodist Preschool kids honored their dads (and some grandads too!) at GMPS's annual Dad's Breakfast on January 18, 2014. Drawings and narrations from the kids about their dads decked the hall, as kids and their special guest went from room to room painting each other's faces, designing new ties for Dad to wear, playing indoor table hockey and, thanks to a very generous and talented Glenview resident and craftsman, Dick Leuth, painting woodcraft cars, sleds, snowmen and hearts. Before leaving with full bellies and even fuller hearts, kids posed with their special guest for a photo intended to capture the fun, which will go home in a frame created by the kids and their dads at the event. GMPS is an NAEYC-accredited, non-denominational, play-based, early childhood program providing a safe and nurturing environment for all young children on the path to autonomy. GMPS has openings for 2 ½’s, 3’s and 4’s in the 2014-2015 year.
