Northwestern Medicine's Glenview Outpatient Center to Host Family Health & Safety Fair

Northwestern Medicine’s Glenview Outpatient Center will host a Family Health and Safety Fair on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  The fair will feature fun activities for families while learning about health and safety. Admission is free and open to the public.

 

For kids:

·Five hundred bike helmets will be given away (while supplies last)

·Explore the inside of an ambulance or fire truck

·Play at the Kohl Children’s Museum Imagination Playground

·Health-related games, balloon-maker and age-appropriate information at health education booths

·Healthy snacks from Whole Foods

·Free hearing tests for kids and adults

 

For adults:

·Tips on sunscreen, bike helmet safety and the prevention of sports injuries

·Allergy awareness

·Health education booths with Northwestern Medicine specialists in audiology, cardiology, dermatology, neurology, ENT, ophthalmology/optometry, orthopaedics, radiology, pediatrics and internal medicine.

 

Northwestern Medicine’s Glenview Outpatient Center is located at             2701 Patriot Boulevard at the corner of Willow Road and Patriot Boulevard in Glenview. Please call 847-998-9095 or visit www.northwesternmedicine.org/glenview for more information and for specific times that the fire truck will be there and hearing tests will be administered.
