The public is encouraged to attend a Community Meeting regarding initiatives underway by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District ("MWRD") to mitigate flood risks in Glenview's Central/Milwaukee Road Corridor. The meeting, hosted by MWRD and the Northfield Township Road District, will update residents on MWRD plans to address the inadequate stormwater drainage system running under Central Road, which is owned and maintained by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The meeting will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:30am, in Room 1604 of Oakton Community College, 1600 East Golf Road, Des Plaines. Parking is available in Oakton's Lot C.
