University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center Hosts Families with Diabetes at Kohl Children's Museum

In recognition of National Diabetes Month, the University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center will host the 3rd Annual KOVLER FOR KIDS AT KOHL for families with children living with diabetes.

As part of the "Kovler for Kids" pediatric diabetes program, the Kovler team welcome siblings, caregivers and parents to discuss topics such as ongoing diabetes research, diet & exercise tips, emotional and social needs of families managing diabetes and information about the latest in diabetes technology. There will be an interactive Q&A and booths set up for adults as well as educational games and activities geared specifically for children. Teens from the "InTransit" teen advisory panel will also be in attendance to speak with attendees.

The University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center is dedicated to continuing a tradition of excellence in clinical care, basic and clinical research, community engagement and education. Its mission is to deliver leading-edge care and develop innovative treatments and cures for individuals with diabetes throughout their lifespan.
