You and Your Baby Deserve A Great Start

Breastfeeding Classes and Lactation Services Available for North and Northwest Suburban Parents

The American Academy of Pediatrics Breastfeeding Policy states, “Breastfeeding and human milk are the normative standards for infant feeding and nutrition,” reaffirming their recommendation to provide, “exclusive breastfeeding for about six months followed by continued breastfeeding as complementary foods are introduced with continuation for one year or longer as mutually desired by mother and infant.” Yet, preparing to breastfeed your child can be overwhelming. Information online or in books is often conflicting and how to apply the lessons you read to your individual situation can be unclear.

Now there is somewhere to turn for reliable medical advice and planning. PediaTrust, the largest private network of pediatricians in the state of Illinois, understands your challenges and has simple solutions with its new Breastfeeding Classes, as well as Lactation Support and Services.

About PediaTrust:

PediaTrust, a new partnership of seven pediatric practices consisting of 32 physicians located in the north and northwest suburbs of Chicago, is on its own unique mission. It formed in late 2012 recognizing that many pediatricians in the area were integrating with large healthcare systems. They felt the need to pursue a different path and remain independent. Realizing strength in numbers, the practices joined forces to achieve a common goal – to preserve the patient care excellence they had achieved individually.

The innovative partnership allows physicians who are all on staff at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to remain in charge of their practices while improving efficiencies and providing high quality patient care.

Members include Elm Street Pediatrics (Winnetka), Fairview Pediatrics (Grayslake), Highland Park Pediatrics (Highland Park), Lake Shore Pediatrics (Barrington, Lake Forest, Libertyville), Pediatric Associates of Barrington (Crystal Lake, Fox River Grove), Pediatric Partners (Highland Park, Vernon Hills), and Premier Pediatrics (Lincolnshire).
