Anti-Abortion Group's Graphic Images Spark Passionate Debate

The Pro-Life Action League will demonstrate in Niles on Saturday at 9 a.m. with images of fetuses.

A Niles Patch story last week about the by holding up graphic signs sparked a debate among Patch readers.

The group plans to hold up signs depicting aborted fetuses at Golf Road and Milwaukee Avenue from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

"I don't care if you're pro-life or pro-choice, small children don't need to be shown those graphic images. They are young and innocent, they have no reason to need to know about abortion and what it is at that age, which photos like this will obviously induce questioning among youngsters. It is also distracting to drivers and a safety hazard. We don't show kids graphic images of medical procedures and surgeries even if they are sick and need an operation, and there is absolutely no reason to be showing them this."
