Darchei Noam of Glenbrook Proposes New Synagogue

Members of Darchei Noam of Glenbrook, which serves part of Glenview, have applied for a building permit to construct a new synagogue in Northbrook.

Members of Darchei Noam of Glenbrook, a modern Orthodox congregation serving Northbrook and Glenview residents, have applied for a building permit to build what would be Northbrook's first new synagogue in 10 years, reports the Chicago Tribune.

The project is proposed for 3465 Techny Rd., in Northbrook. Members currently meet at rented space at Lubavitch Chabad, in Northbrook.

"We're very excited," member Julie Nankin told the Tribune. "I think we're ready for our own space."
