Did Glenview Get Snubbed on 'Most Exciting' Burb List?

Evanston was the only Illinois suburb to make the list. Do you think it deserves the spot? Should Glenview — or another Chicago suburb — have made the list?

Agree or disagree: Glenview should've made a top ten list as one of the "most exciting" suburbs in the Chicago area?

While it didn't make real estate blog Movoto "most exciting" list, one Chicago suburb did. Evanston ranked No. 10 on Movoto's list and was the only Illinois burb on there.

Evanston's blurb reads: "One of Chicago’s suburbs, Evanston placed fifth overall in terms of youthful residents and in the top 25 for nightlife."

Cambridge, MA was the top choice. Berkeley and Santa Monica, CA made the list, as did Miami Beach, FL and Tempe, AZ.

What do you think? Does Glenview deserve its spot on the list? Does Evanston? Any other Chicago suburbs that you think got snubbed?

Glenview is a great place to live, but it's hardly exciting.

I believe, as most of the wonderful neighbors that are really great people, believe that Glenview is the best. So, I ask, what does it matter what someone, who does not live here, think? Dolph and Andrea Zielinski

As a merchant in downtown glenview, I can say we need more restaurants and night time activity...sometimes we are the only establishment open after 5:00 on the 1700 block of Glenview rd...and Jimmy John's too....also..The village gets an "F" for snow removal in the business district....especially the sidewalks...my 70 year old father and myself shovel ed and took all the ice away from our sidewalks all around the building...With the help of DDK..we even plowed out catacombs for our customers so they wouldn't have to climb over snow banks from the streets....never saw this problem at the Glen :-(
