Family Rescued from Flooding Car; A Second Local Person Drowns

There were lots of big stories in and around the North Shore last week.

Some, like the Deerfield man who drowned near his home and the further information about a Lake Forest jogger who may have slipped off the rocks before she drowned in the lake, are terribly sad. Others, like the report of a family of four being saved from a car that was rapidly filling with water, are affirming.
