Glenview Village Worker Selected for 2012 Hometown Media Award

Tim Davidson, Glenview's Cable TV (GVTV) Coordinator, has been honored for his documentary "The Centennial of the Glenview Fire Department: Duty Pride and Tradition."

Have you seen “The Centennial of the Glenview Fire Department: Duty Pride and Tradition” that aired last winter?

The documentary's creator, Tim Davidson, has been selected for a 2012 Hometown Media Award by the Alliance for Community Media. Davidson, who serves as the village's cable TV coordinator, was awarded best documentary profile in the Youth/Non-Professional Combined Category. 

More than 1,000 films were submitted from across the country to the competition, which "honors and promotes community media, and local cable programs that are distributed on Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) access cable television channels."

If you missed the films first screening, Davidson might be airing it again in the near future, according to Lynne Stiefel Glenview Communications Director.
