According to 'Crain's Chicago Business,' adults from both communities spent a combined $343,845 on Halloween costumes last year.
American's spent $512.1 million on adult Halloween costumes last year. Yes, you read that correctly.
That number comes from Crain's Chicago Business and its recently released map showing spending on adult costumes for Halloween in 2011. Adults spent over $100 million more on their own costumes than on childrens'.
According to Crain's, Northbrook adults spent about $179,448.00 on their costumes. Glenview spent about $164,397.00 between its two zip codes.
