Patch Pets

Each week, Glenview Patch features a new pet for adoption at local Heartland Animal Shelter.

Chappie is quite the handsome German Sherpherd mix at Heartland. He is 4-years-old and has the biggest brown eyes and he is even house trained.

Chappie came from southern Illinois and is looking for a permanent residence. He loves to cuddle up in a nice blanket or bed and is known to give lots of kisses. He is a very kind, mellow and easy going dog looking for the right family.

Editor's note: In the last year, Heartland has found homes for more than 1,000 homeless pets. For more information about Dottie (animal ID #4293355) and other animals at Heartland, please stop in at the shelter or check out animals available for adoption at www.heartlandanimalshelter.net. Heartlands's kitten/cat adoption fair, Cat-toberfest, will be held on Oct 9-10.
