Parade through downtown ends with community celebration at Jackman Park.

Downtown Glenview was a little wet Saturday afternoon, but that didn't keep the crowds away from this weekend's holiday parade--and the celebration afterward at Jackman Park.

In its 17th year, the "Holiday in the Park & Parade" event hosted a train of parade floats and community groups, including one carrying Santa Claus, as they made their way down Glenview Road then up Lehigh Avenue to Jackman Park.

At the park, guests were treated to hot chocolate and cider, snacks, carols sung by Chamber Choir and train rides and hayrides for the kids. Children also had the chance to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus.

"It's the Chamber's way of giving back to the community," said Treasurer and event Chairman Jerry Doetsch. "It's a great way for families to get together during the holiday weekend."
