Union Pacific Bridge Starts Taking Shape
The bridge that previously collapsed over Shermer Road is expected to open later this year.
With just a couple more months before it's official completion, the Union Pacific bridge being rebuilt over Shermer Road is starting to look like an actual bridge.
A new Union Pacific railroad bridge could be up over Shermer Road by the end of 2013, according to a Union Pacific spokesperson
Shermer Road, which is Illinois Department of Transportation property, won't be repaired until a few months into 2014.
