GeoSphere Balloon Lands at Park Center in Glenview

What’s a kid to do with a day off from school this Friday, April 6? Why not step inside our planet for a tour the world! The GeoSphere will be landing at the Glenview Park District’s Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave., from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. to give visitors a panoramic view of the Earth from the inside out. Adults and children alike will be fascinated by this free display.

The GeoSphere is a 20’ inflatable globe with an interactive educational program inside that brings to life the “whys” of geography--why the world looks and functions as it does. Holding approximately 30 people at one time, The GeoSphere touches on many important topics, from geography to earth science to climate, weather and even math.

Sponsored by the Geographic Society of Chicago, The GeoSphere travels all over the country demonstrating the fragile connection between the Earth and its inhabitants.
