Glenview Resident Gloria Moschel, Major Art Advocate

The 16-year Glenview resident volunteers as Glenview Art League's vice president and gallery chairman.

 

Glenview resident Gloria Moschel is a major promoter of art around the community volunteering her time as Glenview Art League’s vice president and gallery chairman as well as planning events such as a giclee demonstration in January, Glenview Announcement reported. 

Moschel, a watercolorist, told Glenview Announcements that she enjoys passing art education to others, bringing art to the community and fostering art appreciation among young people.

Giclee prints, pronounced zhee-klay, are fine art prints created using color ink jet printers, which allow artists to reproduce their art as needed or on-demand, according to www.GicleePrint.net. 

Examples of giclee prints can be found at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art and recent auctions of giclee prints have fetched $10,800 for Annie Leibovitz, according to www.GicleePrint.net.
