Glenview Man Dies After Fall Onto CTA Tracks

The incident was ruled an accident.

A 26-year-old Glenview man died Sunday after he fell onto the third rail at the CTA Howard Street station, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

The paper identified the man as Jeffery Lavalle, of the 1700 block of Harrison Street. He fell onto the tracks and made contact with the third rail around 7:30 p.m. 
The medical examiner's office told Patch Monday afternoon that the cause of death was ruled to be accidental electrocution.
