Proposed Glenview Retail Center Raises Resident Concerns

Mariano's Fresh Market and a McGrath Audi dealership would anchor the new development at Waukegan and Golf.

A proposed shopping center where the old Avon Cosmetics distribution facility once existed is causing a stir with community members, TribLocal reported this week.

According to TribLocal, Oak Brook-based Regency Centers hopes to redevelop the land at Golf and Waukgean roads with anchor stores Mariano’s grocery and a relocated McGrath dealership.

Residents of Golf and the Glenview subdivsion of Golf Acres were vocal at a recent meeting, the article said. Their No. 1 concern: traffic.
