, 1444 Waukegan Rd., won by a landslide, nabbing 75 percent of reader votes, multiple comments, and two, five-star reviews in our Patch Places directory. In second place is , 1822 Glenview Rd., with a comment and 17% of poll votes.

The family-owned and -operated business provides floral services throughout the North Shore, offering roses, European gardens, exotics, greens and blooming plants. Current owners Maria and Dale Woltmann took over the business in 2000 and said they are grateful for their loyal customers.

“We appreciate all our customers so much,” Maria shared. “Thanks for your continued support!”

One reader, Elizabeth Antonucci, can’t get enough of Hlavacek’s quality arrangements and superior service.

“Love everything about Hlavacek,” she shared in the comments section. “I can always count on them for anything I need. The quality of product is amazing. They are so nice, friendly, and easy to work with and I would not think of going anywhere else.”
