Idle Hands and ADHD

"Idle hands are the devil's playground." This statement, while a pretty astute observation of youth in general, is  particularly accurate when applied to children with ADHD. If you have a child diagnosed with ADHD, you already know how energetic they are; the best remedy to counter the pent-up energy that ADHD is known for is to keep your child busy. Engage them in activities that are both physical and fun - and with Springtime already in bloom, consider taking those activities outside. When you are ready for some downtime, set your child up for some unstructured free play to keep them busy while you relax.
