Keeping A Routine

Children with Aspergers Syndrome may become easily irritated or frustrated by changes in their environment. While it may not be possible to keep the exact same schedule every day, sticking to similar daily routines can be extremely helpful in quelling the anxieties that are often symptomatic of AS. Routines provide children with Asperger's with a sense of comfort. Because children with this disorder are prone to emotional meltdowns, it is imperative to recognize the importance of and abide by the daily routines that your child relies on.
