Hello Again, Glenview

It's great to be back in the town I grew up in.

Hello, Glenview.

My name is Tim Froehlig, and from today (Dec. 8) until Dec. 18, I will be filling in as a guest editor for the Glenview Patch site.

Find out what's happening in Glenviewwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Fear not, Joanna Schneider, your usual editor will return soon. She is taking a well-deserved vacation.

For the past 18 months, I know Joanna has done an incredible job making it her mission to bring you all the news, information and important things you could ever ask for from this site.

Having said that, I would just like to say that I am thrilled to be here. From 1976 until 1992, I lived in Glenview, and still reside here in the north Chicago suburbs, to this day.

I attended Glenview public schools (some of the best in America), including Westbrook, Glen Grove, Springman, and eventually, Glenbrook South. I spent almost my entire childhood here growing up on the now closed Glenview Naval Air Station, and have watched this community evolve...while still noticing it has kept many of the same great charms that make it the great place it is to this very day.

Anyway, enough about me. If you have anything that you'd like to share or see us write about over the next 11 days, please, do not hesitate to contact me. This is your site too, Glenview, and without you and your help, it wouldn't be possible to bring you all of the information we do on a daily basis.

I sincerely thank you for your time, and again, don't hesitate to say hello. I can be reached at timpatch1@gmail.com.

Thank you Glenview!
