held its 4th annual casino night fundraiser last Saturday, transforming the facility's gymnasium into a speakeasy for the night, complete with cocktails and tables and tables of gambling.
Guests enjoyed a silent auction, photobooth, a buffet style dinner and a variety of games. Upon arrival, event-goers received a set amount of chips for gambling, which could then be cashed in for raffle tickets and the chance to win prizes.
"We do two major fundraisers a year, and the purpose of these two big ones is to support our programs, support staff for the kids, and to make sure we never turn anyone away because of an inability to pay," said Nancy Bloom, Executive Director of Youth Services. "We want to be able to serve everybody in our community who needs us."
