5th Monthly Mid-Week Networking Lunch at Turmeric

Turmeric
Indian Restaurant will host its (fifth) Mid-Week Networking Lunch on October 30th.
The networking event is held on the last Wednesday of each month from 11:30 a.m.
to 1 p.m., but attendees are encouraged to stay and connect with others. Attendees
have the opportunity to speak in depth about themselves and their businesses,
and to answer questions. Turmeric is located near the Glen at 2300 Lehigh
Avenue.

The lunch encourages attendees to go
beyond simple introductions and exchanging of business cards to learn about
other local businesses and make strong connections. Siree Sandberg Bakakos, President of SSB Financial
Services, Inc. says, “The networking group offers many possibilities to
connect with wonderful individuals that you may not have had the opportunity to
meet.  These connections offer much potential growth in new friendships
and business.”

            The Mid-Week Networking group enjoys
having its lunch at Turmeric. “The food, the laughter and the warmth contribute
to the wonderful atmosphere. This is like a little touch of India in our
own backyard,” continued Siree.

especially the Tikka Masala, is excellent. The owners are warm and welcoming.
They join our group to talk, meet and pass out discounts for future dinners.”

            Turmeric Indian Restaurant is family
owned, with Sasi Paidi being the primary owner.  Sasi’s brother started it in North Carolina in
2007 and she moved it to Glenview near the end of 2012.

Sasi says she likes how the Mid-Week Networking lunch
benefits people and businesses in the area. “People come back to this
networking lunch, giving me a chance to get to really know them. You get to
know them more and more every time. It’s nice to learn how we can help each other.”

Turmeric provides many South Indian dishes that other Indian
restaurants in the area do not serve. It also provides a catering service and
Ravinia picnic baskets, working the find the perfect presentation for each
customer, whether for a company picnic or family outing.

            Mid-Week Networking Lunch was organized
by event planner Candice Kuhnen, president and founder of ABC Communications, a
full-service marketing firm based in Winnetka.
