Anthony Molinaro - Brilliant Pianist

Anthony Molinaro, jazz pianist, is the winner of the prestigious Naumburg International Piano Competition and one of the most versatile pianists of his generation. Acclaimed for his “edge of the seat brilliance” and “musically imaginative mind,” Mr. Molinaro has appeared as a soloist with over 50 symphony orchestras, headlined at major jazz clubs throughout the world, and composed and arranged music in both the classical and jazz genres. These arrangements include Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue” for piano and big band, as well as arrangements and improvisations on music of The Beatles. The Chicago Tribune has called Molinaro "Genre-defying... an original, often iconoclastic thinker equipped with a leonine technique." For more information please visit www.anthonymolinaro.com.

Anthony's performance at Ascension will include selections from his groundbreaking new album "Here, There and Everywhere: Exploring Music of The Beatles." Featuring unique interpretations of classic songs like "Blackbird," "Dear Prudence" and "The Long and Winding Road," the collection also includes Anthony's Prelude and Fugue based on themes from "Norwegian Wood" and "In My Life."
