Backlot Dash 5K & Kids Fun Run
BACKLOT DASH 5K & KIDS FUN RUN
Calling all runner, walkers, and kids! Join us for the 5th annual Backlot Dash 5K & Kids Fun Run.
On Saturday, August 23, 2014, Skokie's Backlot Dash 5K and Kid's Fun Run will be held in downtown Skokie (in and around the grounds of Skokie's Backlot Bash). The Backlot Dash party zone including race registration, start line, sponsor tents, water, and post-race treats is located on the east side of the Skokie Public Library, 5215 Oakton St., Skokie, IL.
The 5K course is a Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) certified race. Dash organizers have agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA's best practices guidelines, which embody the highest standard for quality, safety and comfort for participants in a road race. The race is chip timed, the timing device is attached to your race bib. There are water and first aid stations at 1-mile and 2-mile markers. Course barricades will be removed from the route at 10:30am. Runners and walkers who have not yet completed the race will be asked to move to the sidewalk.

Register in-person: Fitness First health club, 9300 Weber Park Place, Skokie, IL. Hours: Mon.-Fri., 5:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. and Sat.-Sun., 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up: Located at Fitness First health club (9300 Weber Park Place, Skokie, IL) on August 21 & 22 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Race Day Information:
*Registration, 6:00-8:00 a.m. (registration will close at 8:00 a.m. sharp)
*Kid's 1/2 Mile Fun Run, 8:30 a.m.
*5K, 9:00 a.m.
*Awards Ceremony, after the completion of the 5K

Fun Run Swag Bag: Dash baseball cap, ice cream ticket, water bottle, reusable bag, participation medal, Backlot Bash commemorative mug
