Czech Republic Boys Choir Performs in Glenview, Wednesday, March 12, 2014

The world renowned Bonifantes Boys Choir, an extraordinary choir of 32 boys 10-18  from Pardubice, Czech Republic, touring the United States and Canada from Feb.  21 through March 21 will perform at Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm Street, Glenview, Il, Wednesday, March 12, 7:00 pm.   

Glenview Community Church Music Director Gary Wendt says, “Bonifantes Boys Choir was here in 2006.  This is  a wonderful opportunity for our church to host 

this top-level musical group and for our Chicago area to experience the awesome best of the long European choral tradition.”

The one month tour through the USA includes Toronto, Ottawa and Montréal, Canada, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Mississippi and
Iowa to Minnesota.

Over the past years of its activity, the choir has taken part in many international competitions at which it has been awarded with thirteen gold medals, several titles of competition prize-winner, and a prizes for outstanding conducting performance for the choirmaster.
