Holiday Youth Sports Camps

DEERFIELD, IL (December 10, 2012) – For those families staying home this winter break, Joy of the Game is proud to offer Winter Holiday Camps for pre-k through 8th grade students while school is out of session.

“We know how hard it is for working parents to find constructive things for their kids to do when school is out of session,” says Mike Nekritz, CEO of Joy of the Game.  Joy of the Game offers Day Off of School Programming for school age children whether it is a one day holiday, like Presidents Day, or longer, like Spring or Winter Break.

For Winter Break 2012/2013, Joy of the Game is offering Holiday Camps in full or half day sessions December 26–28 and January 2-4.  These fun alternative programs for boys and girls are a great option for parents electing to have a ‘staycation’ rather than going out of town.  Spending the holidays at home does not mean kids cannot have some extra fun.

•Joy of the Game Winter Break Camp is designed to give young basketball players, ages 7-14, the chance to stay in shape, improve their skills and have a lot of fun over vacation time. The program will balance instruction with contests and game play throughout the sessions.

•Joy of the Game Lil’ Sportsters Camp is designed for children Pre-K to 6 years old who also crave some activity and excitement over the holiday season.  This program is for kids who want to enjoy a general sports camp with instruction, games, and all sorts of fun contests.

Joy of the Game offers “Day Off of School Programs” based around the calendars of schools throughout its surrounding communities. Students are split into groups based on their age; and spend the full day, or half day, learning, staying active and having fun. Joy of the Game has also begun a basketball-focused edition of the Day Off of School Program for when you basketball junkies have a day off.

Joy of the Game™ is here to help out North Suburban families in any way possible.  It can be tough to find ways to keep children busy throughout the holiday breaks from school; so send them to Joy of the Game for a day or possibly more.
