North Division Recognition Celebration

Greetings:

Recognition and reward is a visible indication of an organization's culture. It is the culture of Toastmasters International to recognize and reward its members as they achieve their educational goals.  Effective recognition programs can help retain members and encourage new ones to join a Toastmasters club.

That being said, Toastmasters District 30 North Division is planning a Recognition Celebration for all of its members who have achieved an award from July 1, 2012 - November 15, 2012.

Please celebrate with us on December 15, 2012 in the beautiful Administration/Education Facility at the Midwest Palliative Hospice CareCenter in Glenview IL. A flyer is attached for your reference and to share with everyone.

Members want to feel their efforts are noticed and valued by those around them. We all enjoy receiving compliments, especially when they come from various sources: friends, family, peers, colleagues, team leaders, senior managers and other professional associates.

Praise for goals achieved should be timely, direct, personal, and specific. Join us and witness one way Toastmasters recognizes their members for their efforts and abilities in a fun environment. Then, start a Toastmasters club at your facility and put together your own recognition celebration.

Though some members feel awkward when they receive a compliment, they appreciate that someone took the time to say how pleased he/she was by their achievement and /or good behavior.  Recognition says, "I appreciate your effort," "Congratulations on your accomplishment," "I noticed what you did" or simply “thank you.”

We are saying all of the above on December 15th, won’t you join us?

Admission is free and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to ethel.goatee@ul.com

or call 847-664-2033 to confirm your attendance.

 Sincerely,

Ethel Goatee
