TOYS FOR TOTS NORTH SHORE DONATION SPOT WITH A SPIN

A Spin of the Dreidel that is

GLENVIEW, IL -- (November 26, 2012)  Every child deserves a little Christmas (& Chanukah): the mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year and distribute those toys as Christmas & Chanukah gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The local drop off site is the Glenview Credit Union [GCU], a non-profit, community-based banking co-op located at 1631 Waukegan Road, North of Lake Avenue and South of Chestnut.

“We are proud to help the community through our annual sponsorship of The Marine Corp Reserve Toys for Tots drive.  As a credit union part of our mission to help people and we really do.  This program is important because it not only gives children a bit of hope and happiness, but has an impact on the community.” states Kathi Quinn, of Glenview Credit Union. “Believe it or not many of the donations stay right in the area.”

The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver -- through a shiny new toy -a message of hope to underprivileged or displaced children that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders. Since there is proof that toys help children grow to become better adjusted and happier more productive members of our society the campaign is important to support.

The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help needy children experience the joy of getting a toy; to play an active role in the development of our nation's most valuable natural resource - our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for a few months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; to contribute to better communities in the future.
