Glenview Gardeners August Meeting

                    GLENVIEW GARDENERS

    Glenview Gardeners present “The Prairie that Time Forgot” 
for their Tuesday, August 13th meeting, 7:00 p.m. at 9831
Milwaukee Avenue, Des Plaines, Il.

    The James Woodworth Prairie was saved from developers in
1966, when it was known as the Peacock Prairie.  Over 100 species
of native plants and invertebrates are to be found there.

    Speaker for the evening is Dr. Dennis Nyberg, Professor
Emeritus of Biological Sciences at UIC.  He will guide a tour
through the prairie and the Interpretation Center.

    Glenview Gardeners is an area garden club open to both men
and women who are interested in all aspects of gardening.
Interests include indoor/outdoor gardening, landscape design
and specialty gardening.
